About Us
In a geographical context that has historically faced one of the highest levels of poverty in the country — conditions which are reflected in our student body — UPRH developed a unique project to investigate and propose concrete actions to strengthen organization, management, and citizen empowerment in our region. This project is part of the Baccalaureate in Social Sciences in Research-Social Action (INAS) and its research component operates via the Transdisciplinary Institute for Social Action Research (ITIAS).
By working with APEPR, we expect the following:
- To document and organize the projects carried out by ITIAS-INAS with the communities of the Eastern Region.
- To collect, record and share the work carried out by ITIAS for community recovery in contexts and situations of vulnerability.
- To continue promoting action-research by faculty, students, and the community in general on the topics and areas developed by ITIAS-INAS, through a digital repository.
- To create greater visibility of the research efforts carried out in the INAS Program and in ITIAS.
